Fledge was originally the vision of Mark and Lauren Cheshire. Their shared experience of working with young, vulnerable people and the challenges that youth homelessness brings led them to establish Fledge as a means of tackling this.

Through the development of a group of founding trustees and a lot of hard work, Fledge was registered as a charity in May 2014.

The next step was to develop our range of projects to tackle youth homelessness and raise enough funds to employee some key individuals to help make that a reality. We now have a property that accommodates up to 5 young people aged 18 and over through a supported living model. We also have a fantastic team of volunteers providing mentoring support.

Fledge seeks to expand provision through the development of further supported housing and the implementation of a supported lodgings project.
